Freestone Design Limited is an Architectural Design Consultancy based in West Hallam near Ilkeston, Derbyshire and offers Architectural Design Services for all types of building work including: Alterations; Conversions; Extensions; Refurbishment and New Builds for both Residential and small Commercial building projects, covering the East Midlands: Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield and Leicester. Established by Colin Freestone in 2005, Colin is a Chartered Architectural Technologist, a qualified Building Surveyor, and as a sole trader working from home can offer a personal service at competitive rates with NO VAT to pay.

Architectural Services

In brief, Colin offers advice on the feasibility of prospective building projects and on the requirements to obtain Planning and Building Regulations approvals, provides CAD plans and drawings of the site and the proposed building works, together with a construction specification for the project.

About

Freestone Design Limited is registered with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists CIAT). Colin has thirty years experience in the construction industry having previously enjoyed working for a number of local architectural practices in the East Midlands: Derby; Burton upon Trent; and Nottingham.

Colin also has experience working in the design team of a National Housing Developer where a career highlight was being involved as technical co-ordinator for the construction of the Eco-House for the School of the Built Environment at the University of Nottingham. This involved, working closely with the construction team providing the technical link with university staff and their specialist suppliers for rainwater harvesting, solar photovoltaic roof tiles, solar water heating and other innovative technologies.
